Annual Back to School Supply Giveaway

The Sanctuary of Newton is hosting their Annual Back to School Giveaway on Saturday, July 28th in downtown Newton. They will have a time of prayer for the children and parents at the giveaway. All school age children and their parents are invited to attend in our County!

Picnicking in the Park

Join us on Tuesday, August 14th from 6PM-7:30PM for free, local entertainment in the Knabusch Park (behind the Historic Newton Depot)!

Our featured performer is Roger Estes from Newton, MS. Our food vendor is Sauced and Sassy BBQ.

Pamela Edwards with Weems & The Smarter Choice Community Coalition will be there to speak with you on the importance of keeping your prescription drugs safely locked up. 

Free Face Painting for Kids (provided by H&R Block) will start at 5:30.

Bring your lawn chair, dinner and picnic blankets to enjoy a beautiful evening with live, local entertainment!

1st Annual Community Dance for 7th & 8th Graders

We joyfully invite you to the 1st Annual Community Dance for our County’s 7th and 8th Graders!
—April 21st from 5PM-7PM—
This dance is open for ALL 7th & 8th graders in our County including Newton Municipal, Newton County, Union Public, Newton County Academy, and Homeschoolers.

The dance is semi-formal/formal and will be an alcohol/drug/tobacco free event organized by the Newton Chamber of Commerce, Surrounding Schools PTOs, MPACC, and the Smarter Choice Community Coalition.

If you are interested in being a parent chaperone, please attend our Parent Education Meeting on April 3rd at 5:00PM at the Historic Newton Depot.
