Newton’s Annual Christmas Parade

November 29th • Newton’s Annual Christmas Parade themed “Once Upon a Christmas” for this year begins at 6PM. Be thinking of what makes you think of Christmas (movies, stories, foods, etc) to enter in our Judged Christmas Float Contest that night. -Registration for the Christmas Parade will open on November 1st-

KCS Christmas Train

November 25th • The KCS Christmas Train is back and will stopping by Newton for a night of fun for all! The six-car train will bring Santa Claus for a visit with kids and offer visual displays inside and out for young and old alike. Tours will begin at 4:00PM at the railroad junction on W. Church Street. This event is FREE and open to the public.

December 1st • 9th Annual WhistleStop Marketplace housed inside the Historic Newton Depot. Come shop till you drop! Vendor Applications will be available on our website on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Annual Back to School Supply Giveaway

The Sanctuary of Newton is hosting their Annual Back to School Giveaway on Saturday, July 28th in downtown Newton. They will have a time of prayer for the children and parents at the giveaway. All school age children and their parents are invited to attend in our County!

Our featured performer is Roger Estes from Newton, MS. Our food vendor is Sauced and Sassy BBQ.

Pamela Edwards with Weems & The Smarter Choice Community Coalition will be there to speak with you on the importance of keeping your prescription drugs safely locked up. 

Free Face Painting for Kids (provided by H&R Block) will start at 5:30.

Bring your lawn chair, dinner and picnic blankets to enjoy a beautiful evening with live, local entertainment!
